I and 34,000 others have left to leave in Turkey and that is by no means a place where the majority of emigrants go.As more people see the benefits more are coming, hopefully the immigrants coming to the UK will be paying the tax's then,

I fear that you are right. Under the Blair regime, the UK has become a country for the rich who pay relatively low tax or the poor who are heavily subsidised. Those in the middle are over worked in order to pay for the over spending, inefficiency, incompetence and corruption of this government.
In Suffolk, I get the impression that Middle England is moving to France, au revoir.

I totally agree with you it is starting already and a lot of people I have spoke to feel the same way and are just waiting to leave the UK. We are moving abroad in a few months time and can not wait for it. As to what will happen I can see the UK slip further and further down. You only have to look at all the killings over the last few weeks to see what will happen but on a larger scale. To be honest I won't care I will be long gone to somewhere warm all year round.
I am not prepared to pay my taxes any more to support other people who are only too happy to accept it without doing anything for it.

Goodness.. are you psychic? I was just thinking of upping sticks and working in the UAE. There is no great incentive for the hoi-polloi to work in this country - us working folk pay for them to sit on their ar*es and breed and the more of them there are the harder we have to work to support them. As long as the Government encourage this then yes, the good people of Britain will get p*ssed off and look elsewhere to live.

I'm hoping that the UK pension obligation will be underwritten by the EU because I plan to be elsewhere by then.

I ask myself all the same questions. It sickens me to think that all the really hard working folks in this country are taxed up to the hilt and never get any rewards. We get hit from every direction and then the labour party just dish it out to all the scroungers. But then that's what this party of envy and greed think we should do. If Brown thinks he is going to get more votes by pulling a stunt like he did in the budget ..... making us think he has cut income tax, then he is mistaken because the real working folks in this country have seen through his lies and we know we will be in for more lies and spin when he is PM. The only way this country has a chance of picking itself up off its knee is to get rid of this pathetic , incompetent group of ninnies.

You will probably be right, I would go tomorrow if it wasn't for family reasons. However, if a week is a long time in politics, don't bet against a swing to the right happening, it's already going that way in Holland and Sweden. The difficulty is, all those people you refer to, aren't going to vote for any one else than Labour.

That is exactly the problem, but other countries don't take people who don't have qualifications (rather intelligently of them really) so it will be all the people on low earing jobs paying for the rest of them - or the tax on everything will be ridiculously high and the gov will get his money that way.
