has anyone ever seen or talked to the fairies? if so what did they say or look like?

When I was 19 years old I worked for the forest service during the summer (I'm 54 now).We would go deep into the Sierras in No. Calif. clearing trails etc. One night just at dark we setting up camp(we'd be out there 4 or 5 days at a time)when I saw some scurrying around in the bushes.At first I thought it was chipmunks or ground squirrels but I distinctly saw a couple of men about 8 inches tall.I almost jumped out of my skin.The trail boss said " Oh,don't worry about them they don't want nothing to do with us.We must be close to one of their sites so they are leaving."
I said" What the hell are they". He said "Fairies or Brownies, sumpthin' like that,now forget about it".
I'll never forget about that and I sure don't mention it much.

In short yes I have seen some.

Fairies come in many different forms, my most dramatic encounter was with a Wood Elf in an ancient forest in the Derbyshire Peak district, the size of a man he walked parrallel with me through the forest where I know for a fact that there is no path, it was close to midnight and he glowed slightly against the undergrowth.

At this point I should point out that I am a practicing Witch an so my being in an ancient forest late at night is quite normal.

In the same forest and many times elsewhere I, alone and in groups have seen tiny white lights in the low undergrowth that wink out when you're about a metre from them, unlike glow worms that stay alight or dim slightly. These are known as fairy lights.

I have seen tree spirits and wood spirits that could be categorised as fairies too. I think my definition would be "a free nature spirit.

To see fairies it is best to go to ancient natural places and wait with a very open mind. You may have to go several times to the same place before they show themselves. Sometimes ancient burial sites are good, but be aware there may be other spirits about around them, you will come to no harm, but they can be unnerving!

I have only once spoken to a fairy, I asked him what he thought of me and my mate leaning against a tree, and he just said "Amused"!

Talked to them..no...seen them? YES!!!
My daughter is an avid believer in fairies and she sees them often. One day while out driving, she says "mom, there are three fairies sitting over there (lol, actually sitting on a cross in a church yard) and I looked. Sure enough, I "briefly" saw them sitting there swinging their legs and talking. They were blue, white and green in color. Each a different color.
"believing"...is a wonderful thing.
I am also a staff member of a Fairie Festival in Southern PA and though I have not seen them there (except at night around the bon fire) , the entire area around where it is held is super charged with energies and has a woderful, magical "feel" to it. I know a couple of fairies at work. They are a blast! Two of them are still 'closet' fairies though. I've been trying to convince them that there is nothing wrong with admitting it.

Faeries are so cool. I was way into them. Me and my grandmother would get snail shells and put flower petals and seeds and grass and all sorts of fairy stuff in them and by the next morning or so there would be HUGE flowers where we planted them.


My grandmother probably just planted them while I was away though. Good memories.

i was told when i was little that i was "away with the fairies" but i think it must of been a childhood thing because i don't go any more and i cant remember what they were like.

I swear to God I've seen one. Finally someone would believe and hear me. One day, I was walking along the street at night then I found something glaring flying so fast to my house into my own room through the window! I ran, slammed our house's door, rambled up stairs, opened my room's door, looked with my staring eyes and I saw it sitting on my desk ! I came closer and closer. Suddenly, It looked at me with its glaring blue eyes and told me, " Wake up buddy, your dreaming !"
