Don't take it off, when she is older, and leaves home you will look at that scribble and smile. All those little things they do are wonderful memories, dont be too quick to erase them.

If the area is a hard surface, fingernail polish remover might work. Be careful with the remover though. Try a little on a Q-tip. Make a quick pass over the ink. Then look at the Q-tip to see if any was removed.
I've also had good luck with a product called "Goof-Off."

Try one of the erasing pads. Scotch Brite Easy Erasing Pad or Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. They work on just about anything.

Try alcohol. Check first to see if the sharpie is an alcohol based pen.If so...dampen a towel and wipe off.

It is not really that bad. Either use rubbing alcohol on a towel or nail polish remover to get it off. It will smell, but i have found it is the best and easiest way to get it off.

If regular drugstore variety alcohol on a Q-Tip doesn't work, try ethanol. It removed sharpie ink from our white boards.
