Compared to GWB, George Sr. looks like a genius.

Being a real conservative I would have to say that Bush is just an average president like Clinton. I see very little difference in the two, except in the way they deal with national security. In that Bush excels.

Well, considering "W" was handed over a nation that was about to fall apart due to secret-selling, lackluster and wishy-washy politics, backstabbing at the highest levels and inaction to the first attempt on the WTC, I'd have to say that he's doing a very good job. Is the best of all time, no, but he's definitely above-average.
I agree with a few others that Jimmy Carter is definitely the worst president we've ever had. All he really did was warm the seat in the oval office for one of our best presidents, Ronald Reagan.

In all honesty he is a very bright man just he's horrble with speeches. He did the best with what he had. The problem lies in the Media trend of america being the worst country out there. for reasons unknown to me (probably drama) the media likes to make america look terrible and thus our leader terrible.
"But the fbi had a warning about 911." yes along with a million other threats and the "911 warning" was nothing more than "something may happen with a plane."
"It's a blood for oil war." realy? it is, o yeah stupid me you're right my gass prices have plumited. All in all is he the best president? no. Is he a bad president? no. Is he a unpopular president? Very. just my thoughts take them or leave them.

We elected him because the only other viable candidate was a treasonous jerk named Kerry (look up treason and what he did in front of congress and put two and two together, yes he committed treason) The worst thing about having GWB as president is having the house and senate being controlled by the same party. Thankfully that has been solved.

Just one of the worst. There have been plenty of incompetent and/or corrupt fools before him. I am ashamed to admit that I did vote for the guy in 2000. But I at least learned from my mistake, and did not repeat it in 2004.

Depending on the Iraq outcome, it is very likely that GW Bush may go down as one of our GREATEST presidents ever.
History has a way of sorting out the lies.
This president will be seen for what he is after the passage of time...a true patriot who put the peoples safety above his own political fortune.
(We wouldn't be in this mess if our last president had been blessed with the same sense of honor.)

The fact this question keeps coming tells me our history teachers have been doing a lousy job. or a LOPSIDED job, anyway.
Look up Jimmy Carter....or ask anyone old enough to remember the details of his Presidency. He was the worst. God help us if 9/11 had occured on HIS watch...."diplomacy or bust".

Milbert Filmore is usually considered the least effictive president, because he only served for two weeks.
Bush Jr. ranks right up there with Nixon as being one of biggest crooks.
