Shoes, no. But if you go around trying to dress like a skateboarder (not sk8teboarder, God I hate leet!), then yes you would be considered a poser.
I like the first posters answer, comparing the baseball cap to whether or not you actually play, and to go along with that...a baseball cap is fine. But if you were constantly dressed in a baseball uniform then you would be considered a poser, much like dressing in all skateboard clothing.
For your second question, in terms of exercise I would think tennis would work up more of a sweat, the ball is going much faster than a birdie would be so you really have to run for it. I've never played tennis, so I like badminton more.

You are sooo not a poser. It totally seems like you are not a poser. So don't worry. I wear skate-boarding shoes all the time. And I don't really skateboard that much anymore. So don't let other people bother you. You don't have to tell others that you do or don't skateboard!!!

FYI...it's poseur, and I wouldn't say you are one. If you own a skateboard and don't actually skate, yet there are photos of you with said skateboard, then that is poseur territory! As far as the net sports, BADMINTON hands down and I'll tell you why. you can stack the sides up like crazy (the biggest game I was in had like 8-10 people per side, it rocked). Also, badminton has more indie cred., not really a great reason, but a reason nonetheless...and finally...goes great with burgers and brats.

I am the same way you are when it comes to the shoes.
i dont skate but i wear the shoes, and no one calls me a "poser" . to my face at least.
so in my eyes you wouldnt be a poser if you wore the shoes.
who cares what everyone else thinks anyway?
about the sports...sorry cant help you there.

No, you aren't poser, it's an awesome sport to take up a sport. Tennis is more beneficial because its more popular.
