Everyone tells me to take a pregnancy test but I just got off my period a couple of days ago when should I take one?

If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

If you had a period, then your most likely not pregnant! BUT, if you try to get preg 14 days from the first day that you last started.. Then you could take a test 14 days later or around the time you should be expecting your next period, and it should tell ya:)
I took my test a few days b4 I was suppose to start and it was positive !!

2 weeks after the start of you last period. But if you just had a period 2 days ago you probably aren't pregnant.

if it was a normal period, you probably are not pregnant. but if you think you are, you can take it any time.
you can take a pregnancy test anytime after a MISSED period, and with some more sophisticated tests, you can take it early!

Way too early. If you had a period then your not pregnant....unless ti was extremely light.
I would def wait if I were u!

was it lighter than normal? Is that why they are telling u to? Tell us more information. About ur question tho', take one when you stop bleeding.
