and talk about how bad todays youth is.? seriously. why do people think we are such a terrible generation? like the day my moms friend was kind of rude when she seen my piercings. why are people like this? everyone seems to think we are ****** b/c 90% of geration is depressed. thats not our fault. but honestly why so quick to judge/hate?

That's just the way some people are-My daughter had her belly pierced,I think it's kind of cute! But, not all people would feel that way. I have 3 kid's, 2 still at home 15yr. son & 10yr.girl-ya,(as parent's) we're suspicious of what they do 'cuz we're concerned, Don't want them to make same mistake's WE did- but, in the same token, WE did'nt listen to our parent's either! I don't think all kid's are F***** up-there are ALOT of ( so called) adult's more messed up than them these day's!!! Don't care what OTHER'S think! care what YOU think of yourself!! & just be your best!

It may not necessarily be quick to judge, but we see how badly things have gone downhill, and fast. Teens don't have the values they should - respect for teachers and school, family members and their heritage, institutions like the police and the justice system - and all of this is just sad. For example, piercings as you mentioned. If you have anything other than your ears pierced, well of course we see that as strange. We know it is going to be a problem in the future for you - how people will see you, and can hinder things for you in the world. We know that's not worth you just having been a sheep and following trends and fads.
And, girl, hate is a very strong word. Don't use it unless you mean it. As with most teens - too quick to do stuff and use words, without thinking through things. That comes with maturity, fortunately.

Good question! My 13 year old likes to express herself by dressing in black! She is always called a goth freak and told she will never have a good job. Well, I can honestly tell you she acts better than the "preppy" girls at her school. She babysits all the time gets good grades, ect, while the supposed good girls are out smoking weed( I know this for a fact!), drinking, and having multiple sex partners, yes I said 13!!!!!!!! So I say pierce away! It's your body
