i am trying to put wireless on my computer it sayswireless network name what does it mean

its the SSID. When you install a wireless Router, you set it with an SSID to identify itself to other devices. So your wireless router should have a default SSID / wireless network name that was set by the manufacturer... you will need to enter this SSID on your computer to connect to the network... Check the user manual.... all the best..

a wireless network name, or ssid is a name that you give to your router to broadcast in your home or office etc by Wifi, to do this you need to go onto your router by typing in your browser 192.168.1.1, and this should acces your router, password usually is admin and user admin, then you can configure a wireless network.
