I'm an American first and none of the above second! You have two choices for the best way to stop bipartisan bickering. The first is ban all public references to a political party. Party names cannot be used on the ballot, on campaign literature or ads, and once elected they will not have (D) or (R) after their name.
The alternative is to make a third party strong enough to dilute the power in such a manner no one party can have total control in either house of Congress. That way there would have to be concensus and compromise.

I'm an American first and foremost. I think that most of the people here, regardless of their political leanings, would say the same thing about themselves. With all the partisan bickering, it's easy to forget the fact that we all want what's best for our country and for the world, but we just have different ideas about what that is.

The democrats are doing it. They can never win on the issues. So they use trickery and slight of hand. They try to bring the other party down instead of playing to the republican level. They have no plan except to build a big cloud over this administration in hopes that America will repeat the November elections and put a Democrat in thew white house. Democrats are only interested in power. And they will lie cheat and steal to get it.

What you fail to realize is that the solutions to our problems are not that crystal clear. Take the economy. During the early eighties, Reagan had a solution to the double digit inflation, and interest rates and horrid economy. He wanted to cut taxes and curb spending. The Democrats wanted to use government spending to boost the economy. Needless to say, Reagans way was successful.

Great question!
American first, and always. Bipartisan means thinking for oneself and acting on what's best for our country, despite the stupid labels.

It all depends on how you want to run the country. If you mean by that...... we should allow big government more and more tyrannical power...no thank you... and I for one hope the repubs will keep up the partisan politics.

I am a child of G-d than American than republican.
I agree too much is being place on democrat vs republican liberal vs conservatives etc.
We have a problem lets work on it together rather tnan pushing our difference more than we push what we want in common.
We have far more in common than differences.

My issues with the President have nothing to do with his party. They have to do with his job performance.
