if you are in outlook, it saved it as a draft.

If you are in hotmail or yahoo, it is probably gone.

It depends whether the battery died after the mail was sent or before!
U can check the sent folder if u have enabled to save every sent message in the sent message folder if not u can't be sure if it was sent or not!
Otherwise u can contact the person whom u was sending the mail!
Or u can re send it!

if you were typing the email as your battery died...

you will have to re-do the whole mail ,as it would not have been saved when the machine went off..

Check you draft folder. If it's not in there, the email probably went through and you can check you sent folder to make sure.
