I have always been athletic, but never really had to work out because I played so many sports. I wanted to look into prenatal yoga, but have never even taken a regular yoga class. Will this be a problem?

No!
I never did yoga before, but last month got a prenatal yoga dvd and i LOVE it!! It is sooo relaxing, and I find myself with more energy and flexibility.
It is a gentle activity, and easy to learn. If you join a class, it should be a prenatal yoga class. I live rural so didn;t have the option of joining a class, but just got a dvd. I do it right before bed, it helps me sleep better, too, and wake up more refreshed.
Have fun!

It's easy. I had to take a regular yoga class when I was pregnant. Yep I got pregnant my senior year and needed a Gym credit so they allowed me to take Yoga at the YMCA. You can basically do just a regular class. My instructor told me which moves I wouldn't be able to do. Call around and see what's available. We don't have prenatal Yoga around here. If it helps, there were only about 3 moves I couldn't do while pregnant. Congratulations on the pregnancy.

Nope, you should be fine. My doctor's office offers prenatal yoga and recommends it. Your body needs to be in pretty good shape to get that baby outta there. They recommend yoga for general well being and it even comes more highly recommended for pregnant women i hear, so just ask around and i agree that you may even be able to take a regular yoga class but the instructor could tell you what you can and cannot do! :) Good luck!

I have been interested in this as well, and although I'm already 30 weeks (I've been lazy, I admit) I thought about just getting a prenatal yoga video and doing the exercises at home as I can't find any programs in my area:)

No you will be fine. You are not suppose to stop any regular activity while pg if you already do so. It will help in the labour
process.
