I agree with you. There are just some things women do better and some things men do better. I think women should be treated with the same amount of respect and things like that. It's interesting that only women can have babies. Only women breastfeed. I don't think everything should be split 50/50 unless the woman dosen't have children...

In my opinion there's no such thing a perfect equality. I believe that the idea behind equality is yes, women want equal pay for doing the same job and equal opportunity to do as she wishes just like men. I also, believe that we as women want respect. Respect as in not demeaning what we choose to do. Women are not owned by their husbands nor or we second class citizens.
If a woman wants to stay at home to raise the children and take care of the home, she wants to know that her husband KNOWS that this is a job, a difficult and many times thankless job. We don't demean that he has spent a hard day at the office or where ever so, don't demean running a household. AND, if you think that taking care of a man isn't work, then you better think again because it is, it's just as much work as taking care of kids.
It's ok for women to pay dinner out sometimes and yes, for men to help with the housework too. Most importantly, it's mutual respect that each should give to one another.
When each spouse feels valued by the other, equality naturally steps in.
If we could give a pill to cut down on egotism equality wouldn't be an issue.

We want the some rights and priviledges as men. Like being paid the same in the corporate world and not less only because we don't have a di#%. Most women don't have a problem with sharing duties like shoveling, mowing the lawn - we just like to look sexy while we're doing it. And a good woman will at least "reach" for the dinner bill. ;-)

"Equality" today is more about respect. For example; stepping outside of traditional roles to accomplish a mutual goal. My Ex-husband was far better at general house cleaning than he ever was in the yard or with basic car maintenence....which were areas I thrived in. The babies still suckled on MY breasts, (but you do sound a tad bitter :)) and HE always wore the proverbial pants... but you see ROOM-MATES split bills 50-50, in a partnership, a marriage, "equality" is more a term to define respect than it is to divvy up chores & expenses. If you were raised in a family where traditional roles were emphasized, then I am sure any contemporary model of less traditional thought would be confusing, perhaps even frustrating...and difficult to learn, (change usually is, for BOTH genders, I promise!) The key to your success,(in your marriage/relationship) lies in your willingness to communicate openly with her. As simplistic as that may sound, it is very significant. (& not a traditional male gender role) A really good example of equality that I can offer is pornography today. Historically degrading to women, the film industry is moving toward more gender equal,(couple-friendly, consensual sex, etc.) explicit films. One of the great pioneers of this movement & a former porn star is Candida Royalle. just a little FYI to further illustrate my answer.
Good luck to you!

Equality means that you treat them with the same respect that is given to a man.
Me, I personally want equality in the workplace. I want to know that when I move up, its not because of there were no competent males to fill in the job opening, but that it is due to my hard work and effort.
Women just want to hit the glass ceiling and break it down.
PS: Your attitude towards women is going to make you a single male for a LONG.... time! as you are bitter

there are strong/week big/small thin/fat intelligent/mentaly challanged..........in both sexes. Equel means according to
ability and qualifications. and yes a man can do housework
and a woman shovel snow according to situation at the time.

It means they want to be paid like men but treated like women. If I treated the women the same way I treat the men at work I would be fired.

we mean equality in RIGHTS. because if ur anaware, women, back then, doesnt have the same rights as men when it comes to almost everything- voting, jobs and salaries,politics... and women are still being abused and discriminated in some cultures, so that's what we mean by "equality".
