There are too few opportunies for advancement. The people in the jobs just above me are my age and no one will be retiring or moving on, or the relatives will get the positions, etc.

I want to leave my present job because I am underpaid.. as most people would. But really I am. I get paid the same amount that the people under me get paid. There is no difference what so ever. Not even a penny. I have to do the same things that they do plus more and don't get compensated for it. IT SUCKS. Good news is, I'm about to graduate with my degree and plan on leaving there.

Working in a situation where everyone else is perfect. So that alone is hard to measure up to.

Also, I have three bosses in my department of four people.

I have the most education out of the three employees; I clean up their crap and have to be quite about doing it; we wouldn't want to upset them. I get to stay late and correct their work, while they stay late and earn OT on top of their salaries.

My boss treats me as a lower employee as I have the least seniority. He hasn't found the time to give me a review in almost 2 years; I'm not talking about a raise here.

I was told that accountants clean up for everyone else. I have never been told this before; I have 10 years of experience.

I am in a situation where I will never gain respect or move ahead. That's why I am looking.

The basic problem with you, is you can not communicate properly. If you want a suitable reply of such a question faced by you, you should provide data relating your job and circumstances for leaving the same. OR If you want others to tell why they want to leave their present job, there will be umpteen answers from umpteen people differently. Donot waste your time and others time like this. Be specific.

16 years of rotating shift work in the military...

4 days from 6am to 2pm
4 days from 2pm to 10pm
4 days from 10pm to 6am...all 12 days in a row with no breaks !!!
Then 2 to 3 days off...if it's the weekend you only get two days off...

That's not counting the last 4 years of my "career" when I got to work TWELVE hour shifts...omg !!! Imagine yourself in a position and after 4 hours realizing you have 8 hours left to go...

Bottom line -- it's best to look for something else if the work you do SUCKS !!! -- the stress isn't worth it.
