i'm terrified of spiders! i'd say that i have arachnophobia. the apartments i live in have lots of spider crickets, as i call them, they are really called cave crickets though. well i consider them worse then spiders because they jump at you! anyway i have an infant & there was one in her room last night so i'm fed up. i really need to find a way to get rid of them, i also have a cat & a dog so i need something that will not harm them either. does anyone know of anything?

I use this Ortho home spray every 6 months around my house, its found at wal-mart like $13 its a gallon. Its in a green bottle with handle and sprayer. I can't remember the exact name of it. But I don't think you can miss it.
My house is surrounded by woods and I have 5 cats that live outside, the stuff keeps, ants, roaches, spiders, and all kinds of insects OUT. But don't hurt the ground or my kids or my pets. So its safe.
I spray it on the exterior of my house then I spray the interor around the cracks of windows doors and were the trim meets the floor.
When I spray inside I do take my dog outside for a bit until it drys just so she don't lick it.

My husband goes to a "do it yourself pest control store" and he gets something called Demon..its the best thing on the market right now..the perfetionals use it.
It must be safe cuz he wouldnt use it if it wasnt. When you go and buy any kind of pest spray allways ask if its safe around children and pets. You should complain to your land lord first and get him/her to do it.

jalapeno peppers in a pumper spray bottle with water, works great ,let it set a few days until it turns orange color,spray around doors,windows,also in the basement,CAUTION WILL BURN YOU ON CONTACT ,use rubber gloves when making and using,also will stain clothing,will not hurt wood,or siding,or plastic.
