World War II in Britain is the setting for Michael Frayn's novel about an old man, Stephen Wheatley, who returns to the village of his youth. He remembers his boyhood and the war games he played with his best friend, Keith, which included a dangerous fantasy that Keith's mother was actually a German spy.
In the quiet cul-de-sac where Keith and Stephen live there is very little evidence of the Second World War. But the two friends suspect that the inhabitants of the Close are not what they seem. As Keith authoritatively informs the trusting Stephen, the whole district is riddled with secret passages and underground laboratories - hideaways for any number of murderers, unsung war heroes and secret agents. Then one day ... more ... Spies - Michael Frayn - ... Keith announces an even more disconcerting discovery: the Germans have infiltrated his own family.
MAYBE YOU CAN USE SOME OF THIS..........
Good Luck!

Hello. This might be available as an ebook through Amazon.com, or you might be able to find it via BitComet (or any torrent related program), though there usually aren't reliable book texts there (you may find audio, though). Or you can try through iTunes. Or you could possibly check through the usenet newsgroups using a service like easynews or any other that offers a free trial.
Keep in mind though: this is not a suggestion to download illegally.
