I want to install a utility sink in the basement, but there is no drain to connect it to. All the drain pipes from the rest of the house are on the ceiling of the basement. What can I do?

You will need to get a pump with a small tank installed beneath the sink to pump to your drain line. It's going to be expensive - figure around $500 to $800 with wiring etc

Just locate the sumpump in your basement. Run some 2 in pvc pipe from the bottom of the trap under the sink to the pump. it's very easy to do.

Go to Home Depot (there areother places) and purchase the pump (electrical) that you can install on the bottom of your utility sink. Your plumbing will be attached to the plumbing in the ceiling and when the pump comes on it will pump it UP and OUT. It works automatically... works great..have one myself

You will need a way to pump it up there.

keep looking. the drain pipe has to drop down somewhere. you should also have a floor drain in one corner.
