All I have is three possibles (ranging in most likely).
2 of the responses deal with misspellings.

1.When explorers first communicated with the Iroquoi aboriginal people, they mistook the word Kanada (Village or Settlement) to mean the country name. Europeans then began referring to the Country as Canada.

3. It's a misspelling of Canada or Kanata (Suburb of Canada's capital city Ottawa)

If you are talking about "Kannada", then it is the state language of the state called Karnataka, in India.
