Massage the cuticles with lotion or oil for a few seconds. This stimulates them helping to promote more growth and the lotion or oil will keep them lubircated so they don't dry out from the friction.
Or you can spend a few dollars on a tiny bottle of Sally Hansens nail growth formula, which tells you to do the same thing. Except all you're paying for is a name, vitamin E and Aloe...something you can get from a bottle of lotion.
Jello and gelatin tablets are a farse. Well...I shouldn't say that. They do work, but only if that's all you eat. The amount of gelatin that's actually soaked up into your body, if you ate a ton of pills and jello, to help grow hair and nails is not much and it's not nearly enough to get the job done. So you're basically putting it into your body for nothing.
There's the so-called pre-natals, but do you really want to take those? Not to mention...pregnant women grow their hair and nails faster because of the hormonal changes that are going on in their bodies, not because of the pre-natal vitamins, so those also you would be taking for nothing.
Massaging is the way to go, and you can get as much as twice the nail growth in one week if you do this every day. I do this and it's the only proven method that works.

Drink more water, eat healthy, buy products such as Sally Hassen nail growth, and (lol) washing dishes usually helps mine to grow. Wearing false nails also helps but can make your nail very brittle.

take a vitamin called biotin.. it should help increase the thickness of your nails so they wouldn`t break off easy. also.. use nail strenghtener from OPI. It's the best strenghtener around and you would see fast result. apply 2 coats... take off the polish after 2 weeks... let it breath for a couple of hours..then reapply.. keep this up.. you should see fast improvement... also.. don`t put your hands in water too much.. water cause the nails to become weak and brittle...

You can take a hair skin and nail vitamin. I take just plan old biotin to make my hair and nails grow and it really works. Make sure you are eating healthy foods and drinking plenty of water and milk. Also, keep your nails buffed to help prevent breakage.

Sally Hansen has nail care that is good. I have also heard that eating things like jello helps your nails. I do know that if you have nails tips put on that makes your nails weak.
