Salicyclic acid is the common name for asprin.

It will definitely be soluable in water. The acid end will be attracted to the negatively polar end of the water.

It will also be soluable in NaOH and will have an acid base reaction creating a salt and water.

Salicyclic acid will also be soluable in ethanol. Ethanol is an organic compound and the salicyclic base of the acid will be drawn to the other organic compound.
