I ironed a blouse the other day and it stuck to the iron. Does anyone know how to clean the sticky burnt stuff that is now on the iron?

heat up the iron and rub it on a wet tea towel. or you can buy iron soleplate cleaners if that doesnt work.

Use a product called "Hot Iron Cleaner." I buy mine at Hancock Fabric. It's probably available other places too.

Before I discovered that product, I'd heat the iron to the hottest setting (no steam) and iron over a wadded up cotton rag or an old bath towel. That works pretty well too.

Try wetting a rag with white vinegar and running the hot iron over it.

Wet a hand towel that's okay if it gets a little grubby, wring it out, then iron the wet towel.

Try this on a COLD, unplugged iron...Lighter fluid...You will be amazed of the many things that can be removed with it...

id wait till it was completely cold and get a brillo pad ( wire wool ) out and scrubb it as if you try to melt it and wipe it off it just spreads on and burns on more and ruins all your clothes goodluck !!
