I have installed sky into flats and they have either had their own dishes outside the front door/beneth the window or used comunial dishes(shared by 8 people) this is usualy on the top of the building.

Speak to your ladlord or owner of the complex to find out possibilitys.

If you go to a specialist sky installer then they have a few more ways of doing it, with mini dishes and other things.

It depends how much your b/f needs it! and if he needs it that much can he afford it?!! the mini dishes cost about £400(they are usually used on boats or caravans) you might be able to put it on a window ledge or balcanoy.

Maybe you should visit the sky website and see what options you have. I'm not sure you can get legally Sky Sports other than through a sky subscription of some sort. But from their website, you may be able to download Sky on demand from them??? Worth checking with them otherwise your bf will have to go to friends or the pub to watch it!

Cable, or if it's just footy he's after there are any number of free websites streaming Premiership games as long as he doesn't mind a Chinese commentary (can always turn Radio 5 on anyways). If your window points Southwards (28.2deg East of South to be exact) it is possible to put a dish on a camera tripod but it's tricky to set up.

find out if cable is availble in your building and have that instead the only reason you can have sky is cos of the dish. When I rented it was the same but I had cable instead
