I'm a long time comic book fan, and I think the character you might be wondering about is Poison Ivy, from DC Comics. She's an enemy of Batman, and she first appeared in Batman #181 (1966). She has made many appearances in the book since then. I believe she last showed up in Detective Comics #823. Uma Thurman played her in Batman & Robin (1997).
