I think that this brings up an entirely new question: What makes a "celebrity"? Is a celebrity ONLY an actor or a singer? Is it ONLY someone that makes an *** out of themselves by getting fall on your face drunk or shaving your head or molesting children?
Do you consider Anderson Cooper a celebrity? Look at all he's done as a news anchor and journalist. He has written books, had his own special reports and news show, interviewed by Oprah, etc. What about Dan Rather, Ted Koppel, Katie Couric, etc., etc., etc.?
Something to ponder, I guess.

Yes, some of the reporters and anchors are celebrities: Bill O'Reilly, for example. The man made name for himself in the studio and outside of it.

Some more than others. I think the ones that are on E! or on CNN are more like celebrities than the ones on your local stations.

yes. reporters get spotted and are recognized almost immediately. However, the media does not attack THEM like they attack the movie stars and other well-knowns
