I agree with you i'm gutted that Dumbledore died and i was upset when Sirius died too. If Harry or any of the main characters dies in the new book i think i'll be grieving big time because i've grown so attached to Harry, Ron and Hermione. it's sad i know lol
I cried when i read The Green mile and John Coffey died.

Absolutely miserable. At the end of Half-Blood Prince i cried so bad. I also cried at the end of The High Lord which is the third book in the Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan. But I have a feeling I might be using the help lines that are being set up for when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows comes out in July. I cant believe it TWO characters(not including voldermort) are going to die:'(.

my favourite character in a book ever was a character called Hirad Coldheart in the James Barclay books about a group of mercenaries called the Raven, He dies at the end of the second trilogy it happens so suddenly I cried for ages. I'm getting teary now just thinking about it, he was such a cool character. If you like fantasy I thoroughly recommend these books.
I was also gutted about Dumbledore and Sirius.

I feel shocked and gutted. Then think about it later and Im kind of glad because at least then I know the book has made me feel something which makes a good book. There is nothing better than a book that makes u feel instead of just gliding through it and not really caring.

It IS quite upsetting, but most books are not much longer than about 500 pages so its not as if you "knew" the character that well. And its only fiction, you can always start again and they won't be dead any more. Or read another book. GET OVER IT

I feel the same when one of my favorite authors dies. Bummed, that no more good books are going to be forthcoming from a great author. No more heroes or heroines saving the day.

Gutted... I'm a jinx as well... I always have a soft spot for bit characters who are only in a chapter or two, and that normally means that you can guarantee them being killed off!

I'll be honest, I was more moved by Fleur and Bill... I thought Mrs. Weasley was right but she turned out okay at the end.

i get really sad then i get really annoyed with the author for killing them off,
but i suppose books aren't supposed to be predictable otherwise you wouldn't bother reading it, if all the good charaters survive in a dangerous situation or what ever, then it wouldn't be very realistic.
