This is all about some type of new age religious extremism. Notice how the religious terms are being applied here. Gore is preaching, this isn't politics it's morality, Gore's sermon to the government. Pagan worship of the Earth is so bronze age. When religious fanatics(Gore) are on a crusade facts just don't matter

What happens to the economy when crops fail, rivers dry up and the water levels rise to flood the coastal cities of the USA?

Alternatively what happens to the economy when instead of sending billions and billions of dollars abroad every month, we invest in renewable energy and spend billions and billions every month on the people?

People are having a go becasue Gore is the only person with the bo*****ks to stand up and take the s**t at the moment. Ecology doesn't need to cost money or harm the economy if it's done properly and for that to happen more people need to lend ideas and support to the few who are looking to the future, just in case it's all true.

It is so baffling to me that many people can't read the intentions of other people.

You really don't see the difference in what motivates people like Al Gore, vs. say, George Bush? It is as clear to me as if it were radiating out of their pores - you can't recognize passion and intelligence, vs. nervous belligerence?

It's obvious to me when people haven't seen "An Inconvenient Truth". Watch it, then answer your own question. Global warming is real, it's largely due to CO2 from auto emissions, and our economy could be stronger if we could take the power away from big oil and the auto industry.
