The answer to the question of "what year does the earth exist TODAY" depends upon how you are calculating, from creation to the day you are reading my answer. creation of the heavens and earth ( by any and all mathematic computation is from 00000000001 until (the Sin of Adam and Eve as recorded in the Bible dated) 0000000001 (AF or "After the Fall") until the Great Flood of Noah's day {dated 1650 years after the birth of Seth, the Son of Adam and Eve} in the year 130 AF; when Adam was 130 years by TIME CALCULATION IN HISTORICAL YEARS. Everything else is calculated in ETERNITY or ETERNAL EXISTENCE, which has not TIME CALCULATION. ONLY Zeroes. From the time that Noah was born 600 years before the 17th day of the 2nd month of the year when Shem, Ham and Japheth were born. which was around or would have been calculated somewhere around 1899 years after the fall of Adam and Eve, Applying or based upon the recorded 930 years that Adam lived and the 969 years of the life (of the recorded oldest man that ever lived) Methuselah leaving an uncalculated 101 years of being two days or 2,000 years. God told Adam that "IN (during the course of ) THE DAY that he (speaking to ALL MANKIND) being and meaning ALL of the created Sons of God, and the Daughters of Men (that were created at the same time on day 00000000001. would not die, (but anyone that did (in that day eat the forbidden fruit WOULD DIE; Therefore until "ADAM" on Day 1,000,000,000.1 harkened to the Serpent in the Garden (according to Genesis 3:1: TIME BEGAN TO age the Earth and the existence of all mankind Now you tell me, how old is the earth. Science can not because, the fossils of the original "Adam" are older than the ones they have found.

The age of the earth is around 4.55 billions years.
2007 is the number of years supposed to be since the birth of Jesus.
If you represent these 4.55 billions years as the flight distance between New York and London, these 2007 years since the birth of Jesus will be just about your first 3 steps.

Approximately 6000 years. If the earth was over 1 billion years old, the surface of the sun would be touching the earth, because the sun is shrinking on average of 5 feet per second. Thus the sun would have burned up all living organisms.
