You have to use your common sense on this one. Supply? wouldn't people notice their pets missing? If they imported animals from countries that allow this it would be expensive. Chicken is much cheaper. No legitimate would risk such behavior. This is an urban myth spread by ignorance and racism. Notice it's always "chinese" and not japanese, korean, greek, mexican etc? Some people speculate these "rumors" are strated by other restaurants and a few gullible people belief it. If you're one of those people I suggest the vegetarian chow mein.

Can they? Not legally, but do you think they care. How will the health department prove it if they are carefully doing away with all the carcasses. I hate to think about it, because I love Chinese food. I only go to a restaurant where I know the people who run it. The only time I ever went to another restaurant, I heard meowing from behind the kitchen wall. No lie.

i think chicken legs costs less than a buck a pound and it's already dead and butchered. i don't know about you but catching and butchering a cat is a lot more hassle than a buck a pound. now on the other hand if you can get a big dog there can be significant profit margins once they reach over 100lbs, so marmaduke better watch out.

NO. I seriously doubt it. Sure, some people eat them (but cats??? dogs, maybe, but not cats!), but they're considered a delicacy. Besides, the dog is part of the zodiac......
