He gets the final say only if you let him - - just because the UN decided to huddle up and come out and declare victory doesn't mean anything has changed.
And it IS a political issue. It's some people trying to gain control over entire sectors of the private economy that they've been trying to control for decades, this time for the 25th reason. It's some people trying to impose their lifestyle on the rest of us, claiming that the world's gonna end if we don't repent and change our ways. It's some people trying to triple the price of power and double the cost of our commute in order to impose a different lifestyle on us.
Based on an un-proven theory....
....in what we consider to be a free society.
If that's not political, what is?

He believes because he was a VP that what he says makes an overall more significant difference than anyone else. Besides the fact that he uses incompetent metaphors to describe the earths status. Global warming is a natural process of the earths and has been proven that by more than just 3 scientists.

Wouldn't you declare the debate over and encourage people to buy offset credits if you were partners in a company that sold them? Probably not, but you seem to have better ethics than Al Gore

Well he invented the internet so of course he's qualified to be the one to decide about whats going to happen about global warming. He's such a great scientist that he was invited to testify to our illustrious congress. Of course they get most of their rhetoric from Hollywood so I guess even this subject shouldn't be any different.

Al Gore is a moron. He plants a few trees to justify him flying around the country because the airplane gives off so much exhaust gasses.....sounds oxymoron to me.Now that he is worth about $100 million,is that the best he can do.

If they can't attack the message, weak people attack the messenger.
It's also very convenient for conservatives to forget that Bush, McCain, Giuliani, and Brownback all agree that global warming is real and is caused by humans.
This is not a political issue.

Al Gore doesn't get the final say, but he did over his expert opinion about it.
Whether you believe in global warming or not, sooner or later all the pollution in the atmosphere will catch up with us.

My theory is, it is an easy way for him to make money.
I'm sure his "non profit" organization is paying him some hefty salaries, and he is probably getting more donations than every presidential candidate combined.

I wasn't aware he was "claiming final say." Could you provide a link to that quote, and to his college transcripts?
