For the sake of argument, let's say that "Chinese Democracy" hits the shelves next week. How do you think it would do, in terms of sales?

Does the current incarnation of GNR still have something to say, or has Axl put together his own tribute band with himself as a guest singer?

IDK how they could be. Axl's not even Axl anymore. Sad but true. What a spankin *** band they WERE tho huh. "Welcome to the Jungle" was one of the rockinest tunes ever, and still my fave. I think he lost his 'tude when he got$ and that 'tude is what made him so raunchy and passionate. And great! What EVER, I miss them greatly.

I never thought they were relevant the first time round, as I don't think they contributed anything to the genre that was new or original.

Some of their songs were great, but unfortunately ruined by the horrible nasal whinings of Axl Rose. Slash, however, was and is a very good guitarist.

Lets be honest, the current incarnation of GNR is not really GNR is it ?

G'n'R was never relevant. They were a hard rock band when they came out that was called heavy metal. Unfortunatly real metal bands like Slayer, Metallica, Iron Maiden, were kicking a$$ and taking names before Axl showed up. I was probably the only guy in my home town who refused to buy the album, mainly because the same people were buying Bon Jovi. They were about as metal as a bag of knee high socks. They were only heavy to the guys listening to Europe and Stryper. Axl sucks today as much as he sucked back then. Faith No More and Metallica should have killed him back in the day. Long live Buckethead, screw this humorless wanna be rock god.
How good could he be if he was easily replaced by Scott Weiland for Velvet Revolver.

NO WAY. I am pretty upset that he still uses the Name "Guns N Roses". I mean Velvet Revolver has more right to use that name, because every member of that band except for Scott Weiland is ex G'N'R. I would probably buy the Axl Rose album, but its not Guns N Roses, he should have changed the name of the band.
