I tried using Intel's chipset identification download, but it only identifies the family of chipset I have. Where can I find the exact model? I need to know so that I can install Intel's matrix storage manager.

I use CPUZ, a free utility that specifically tells me all that & more.
It's a small program that requires no installion. It will run standalone from your hard drive or eben an external USB flash drive :

CPU-Z is a freeware that gathers information on some of the main devices of your system.

CPU :
Name and number.
Core stepping and process.
Package.
Core voltage.
Internal and external clocks, clock multiplier.
Supported instructions sets.
Cache information.

Mainboard :
Vendor, model and revision.
BIOS model and date.
Chipset (northbridge and southbridge) and sensor.
Graphic interface.

Memory :
Frequency and timings.
Module(s) specification using SPD (Serial Presence Detect) : vendor, serial number, timings table.

Are you referring to the chipset on your motherboard ?

If so. All you have to do is look at your motherboard. You should see the name of the motherboard .. Example: MSI - PCCHIPS - BIOSTAR etc.

Once you have the make ( Name ) You then need to get the model number. This can all be found right on the motherboard.

Then go to the web site for that board. Example.. MSI ( you would do a google search for MSI.

Once your there go to support & downloads. Plug in the model number and you will get the spects on your board along with current drivers and everything else you need to know..
