Do we have to submit iec no. ourselves to customs for BIN no.or it is processed internally.?

I have got my IEC No. from DGFT. Do i have to get my BIN No. from Customs by providing more documents or does my BIN No. get generated by internal process

You normally have to apply for each number, because they're used by different agencies and for different purposes.
