My husband has semen analysis done and all came back low?

THe morphology i think was 30%, the count was 16 million and the motility was 30%. I really want to have a baby of my own, hopefully without invitro. I read that there really isnt anything that can fix the morphology is this true? also any other information on this would be very much appreciated!!! Thank you SOOOO much!! =)

My husband had his first semen analysis, and the count came back low. We went to see the urologist, who told us not to worry about it, that many men have a poor first analysis because the whole thing is just so weird for them that the sample just isn't as good as it could be. His second sample came back with a reasonable count, but with poor morphology...because he'd waited too long betwee ejaculations. This time, the urologist told us to make sure that there was no more than 72 hours between ejaculations before he went for the test. We're waiting for the results on the third test right now.

If your husband is using any drugs, he should stop. He may want to switch to boxer shorts if he doesn't wear them already. He might want to have blood work to check his hormones, which can sometimes be a cause of sperm issues, and can sometimes be corrected, and he probably should have a testicular ultrasound to look for varicole (varicose veins in the testicles) which can cause problems. And it might be smart to repeat the test in a few weeks.

It may be that the cause is something that can be treated, but it may require other tests to sort out what the issue really is. IUI, which is far less invasive than IVF, also might be an option, depending on what subsequent tests say. Good luck. I know how stressful this is.

I suggest him trying boxer shorts and avoiding very hot water. There are some other things he can try, but you might look them up on the net. He does have sperm, and that is a good sign. Also, make sure you know when you're ovulating, and then have sex. Afterward, lie bed with your pelvis tilted up for 20 minutes. It will happen for you. Good luck!
