We are allowed 5 sick days in a year, and when I was being evaluated, my manager had the evaluation papers and the schedule with my sick days and pointed out I was 1 day short of being given a written warning for absences. She says I missed 5 days, I never-ever call in, so I asked her to look at the schedule to tell me what days I called in and the days were not circled off. She proceeded to take her pen and circle them off like I missed them. I feel like I was falsely accused. What do you think I should do?

I say you should take it up with HR. If you have missed any days they will have a record of it. Circling days off while you are sitting there is just stupid! If they don't have a record of it then they should not accuse you of it. Please go to HR and get the facts.

You should go to the next person up from your supervisor and address it with them. Possibly look back and see if there is anyway you can prove you worked those days, like other people/clients/etc. that you had contact with, things you accomplished that day, pay stubs and such. You should be able to argue your case that it is inappropriate to have an evaluation without warning that something like this was going to be discussed. Besides, even if you did use them you shouldn't be given a warning for using the sick days they have given you to use. You should only be warned once you use them up, that you have none left, but not a "warning"! Hope things work out for you, that sucks.

First, make sure that you can verify that your information is correct about the number of days that you have taken. If it's less than five, address it with your supervisor and ask them to correct it. If the supervisor refuses or delays in making the correction, take the matter to your HR department. But make sure that you have supporting documentation first!
