They knew when they arrived at academy awards they're drenched with 'african blood' around their necks.

I just watched this movie last night for the first time. It was a very compelling movie. The fact that this really took place and they way they depict it in the movie is heart wrenching. The black actor is absolutely mesmerizing, he is that good. His quest to find his son is never ending and he didn't care what it took. Leo's character was amazing, I don't understand why he doesn't ever when the friggen oscar?! When I was home in Canada in December I read an article there that had some of the Canadian corporate companies and it's employees asking Leonardo DeCaprio to help them out with bringing awareness to something they came across. He is beginning to be the "goto" man for these important issues. That is a wonderful thing and I am proud he uses his celebrity for good, not self-indulgent. Yes, I think Hollywood likes to only celebrate issues that make them look good (how can they look good when they're all wearing enough diamonds to sink the Titanic?).

they all know it, they do some charity from time to time, but they don't care to really solve the problem. because they want people down in Africa to have war all the time, they can benefit from it more, with movies, guns, cheap diamonds etc
