why is America voting the better singers out??
Sanjaya should have been gone a loooooooooonnnnngggg time ago. Phil should probably have been in the bottom.
Chris Richardson should not have been in the bottom at all. And Stephanie Edwards shouldn't have gone home.
So what's up with America???

I have heard rumors of a conspiracy to keep the worst singer (Sanjaya) on the show for as long as possible. They tried this last year as well, but I forget the singer's name that they tried to keep. That's the only explanation I could come up with for why Sanjaya is still on the show. He's got no talent, for singing anyway. I disagree about Chris Richardson, however. I don't think he's all that great.

While I agree that Sanjaya should've been gone a long time ago, I thought the bottom 2 were fair. Stephanie is a good singer, but her performances have been lacking lately. There's something I don't like about Chris Richardson, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe it's that his voice is far too nasal for my taste.
My bottom 2 would've been Phil and Chris Sligh though, since Sanjaya obviously has an unlimited supply of "get out of jail free" cards!

I think there is a website that promotes voting for the worst singer...that and all the tweens are the reason that Sanjaya is still there. I agree with you 100% about who should and shouldn't have been in the bottom!

The show has been and will be messed up until they get a handle on the voting situation. They need to limit the # of votes that someone can make. Obviously the producers know this and continue to let the conspiracy continue.
However fame and fortune is not only to the winner. Look at Daughtry. So screw the votes and watch if you like after all it's REALITY T.V.

You know what kills me is that Stephanie Edwards had one bad week and she got voted off (I think she did better than most). Meanwhile that curly head, gay Sanjiyah has been terrible the whole time and he never once got booted.
That really bothers me, but like the judges say "It's up to America to vote, and it's girls like Ashley (the little girl who was crying all night), that have that fool staying around". If that boy don't go home next week I give up becuase it's not right that other good talent is leaving the show.

Why are you surprised? This is the same country that put George Bush in the White House TWICE.
If this doesn't show you that the entire concept of the show is entirely bogus, I don't know what will. I hope Sanjaya wins it all--it will be a triumph of mediocrity, which is apparently what we're all about in the good old USA.

I absolutely could not agree with you more. Who the heck is voting for Sanjaya? Heard he has a lot of appeal with the yooung girls. Just don't see it. Why not Chris? At least Lakisha and that Doolittle girl are still doing well.

I don't think it is fair at all. I live in Canada so i can't vote, but i definitely wouldn't have voted for that gross creep Sanjaya, he gives me the willys!!

I agree with you about Chris R. That totally shocked me. I wasn't shocked Stephanie was eliminated, although I thought it was going to be Phil last night.
