Normally, I don't respond to AI questions, as I sooooo dislike the show and most other reality shows. How real are they? We'll never know. There has to be some sort of script or something in all of them. Some of the show has to be staged. That is how they up the ratings. More free publicity from the news.

But, wasn't the ORIGINAL premise of American Idol to promote the country's "next big thing" who could sing, dance, act, etc.??? They were supposed to be able to do it all. If you notice, some of them come out doing well, but not all. What happened to WINNER Reuben Studdard??? His runner-up, Clay Aiken is more famous than Reuben. Look at Jennifer Hudson. She didn't win, but I saw and heard her in "Dream Girls." She was amazing!!! How could she NOT win??? Oh, yeah. That is right....she did win.....AN OSCAR!!!!

I think it's great that so many people enjoy the show. I just see ALL the American Idol questions being asked and couldn't take it. I like looking for different questions to see if I can answer.

She was on the Today show this morning. Apparently, she won tickets to the show. At the dress rehearsal, the show producer saw her crying in the audience and decided to move her to the front row for the real show. So her seating placement was staged, but her tears were real. She has a schoolgirl crush on Sanjaya. (but she also cried during two other peformances at the rehearsal)

According to what I heard on the radio this morning....it was totally staged.

The L A Times reported that this little girl (who is 13 btw) was either one of the kids on *Are you smarter than a fifth grader?* or was in the audience.....her and her family got tickets to the AI soundcheck/preshow....and she started crying when Sanjaya did his warmup.....and they (AI) saw her crying so hard, they asked her to stay for the live show.......

I'm so done with this show......(going to see if I can find a link to an article about this)

I can't find anything about what they said on the radio....but I can tell you this....I believe what they (my radio station) reported this morning....they do a segment called *Celebrity Sleaze* every morning and so far, what they report in the morning.....is what is reported by the entertainment shows in the evening....so I'm putting my full trust in the radio show here.....

At this point, with Stephanie gone and Sanjaya still there....I wouldn't surprise me at all to learn that this whole crying girl thing, was totally staged........

Someone hired her---probably Sanjaya's family. Or the girl really liked attention. But so definitely staged!!!
(Lots of performers that gear themselves to younger people hire screamers and cryers--ever see the South Park where the boys form a boy band and hire the girls to scream for them.)

I think it was completely staged. She cried through the entire show for no reason and was able to stop in a snap.

I think it had nothing to do with the singing,I think someone next to her just gave her a great big pinch on the inside of her thigh.

Yes, I agree. Nobody could get that emotional from hearing those people sing.
