Most of the politicians know that the majority of the people consider them to be cow poop, but they don't care since the same people vote for them over and over, again and again.

I think its more along the lines of unreasonable and wishful thinking. It has become a trend to ask government to institute laws to fix too many of our problems. It just isnt possible to the extent that the people want. Its humanly impossible. Government is too large and they can never deliver on the promises made to the services we're demanding.
If we want to be more efficient we need break the current cycle of dependency upon federal dollars and focus on bringing more solutions to the table on our own.
Our country has a horrible monetary policy and an offensive instead of defensive military.
These two things make for very unfortunate and ultimately disastrous foreign policy. We can change this. But it means we need to start minding our own business on a larger scale and not encourage government.

most of this politicians are sorrounded and insulated by people who protect them from such criticism and reality that the smelly they are the more adorable, good smelling air freshener are being sprayed to their brains in and out!

Most political people start as activists within their community. Whether they get started with their union, the chamber of commerce or the little league, something gets them out of the house and working for something better.
These people work many unpaid hours, sit on committees and write reports. They work for the United Way or the March of Dimes. Eventually they get drawn to formal politics, where the process is repeated.
These people are both liberal and conservative. Almost all of them are honest, hardworking idealists, and yes they know that the public as a whole associate them with the few crooks in guilt by association.
You know, they keep trying to change the world anyway, because that's what they do. While you play video games, watch HBO or just get high they are working as hard as they can to make your life better.
So show some respect and gratitude, you ignorant fools. You would be slaves without the people in public life.
