Surprisingly yes. Precisely because they are "undead" (not dead?) They may not be able to see themselves in the mirror or be able to withstand sunlight, are unable to withstand the aroma of garlic or be in the presence of a Crucifix, Holy water sears their flesh, but they do bleed. Check out the Blade series - even in Bram Stokers Dracula series, vampires bleed.

Well aside from all of the blankety blank remarks. It depends on the type of vampire. If you are talking in real life or some horror movie you just got finished watching. The type of vampire also varies in what they drain from their victim. Those that drink blood have had their insides churned so as to allow the flow of blood through their body. You are correct that their hearts do not beat. However, when they consume from a living source the pressure from the living source is used to move the blood through the body. (that is why they look fleshy and become warm to the touch. When you cut them they do bleed. With some there is a delay and a "magical" healing that takes place as the blood seems to disappear with the appearance of being a mirage. Others, when cut, use the blood in their system to rapidly replace the tissue that is missing. However there is a large group of beings that fall under the Vampire category so unless you ask again or add some more specifics then this is the best I can do.... sorry, wish i was more help full

Why would'nt they? Just because they drink blood doesn't mean they don't have any. Often you see vampires created not because they were bitten but because they drank vampires blood.
Classically Dracula bleeds at some point in Bram Stoker's book, And in most modern vampire books you often find instances of vampires bleeding when wounded.
And remember there are many different versions of vampires, some versions have heartbeats and some versions aren't "undead". It's all a matter of perspective and whose book you read or what movie you watch.

Hah! I do have an answer for this.
Yes, Vampires bleed if they had eaten a lot recently. Their victim's blood flows through their body sort of like it would if they were alive. (Except the venom is eating away at it.) There would also be venom in the blood.
Otherwise, if they had eaten a little, some blood might come out, but otherwise, venom.
The same goes for if they had not eaten in days. Venom. They bleed venom.
That's how it works in the Twilight and New Moon books. ^^

Depends on when they last fed. Newly fed vampires bleed, breath, and can even with effort fake a heartbeat...but this passes slowly over the course of a day and a night...some breeds also gain the ability to resist sunlight or to perform other more powerful things.

You're right. They're undead. Their hearts are no longer pumping. The blood has long since clotted.

They do not 'bleed' so much as if they are cut, blood will, if just for an instant, leak out of the wound. Then it heals super fast because vampires are cool like that....well, at least that's the legendary vampire....

The ideal is that, they want to be human again and fresh blood reinstates their bodies just enough to be able to have some feelings and to bleed a little, make love, and to have that addictive feeling to want more and more.
