Is it really popular? Well woman in India wear it because its our tradition, it supposedly enhances the feminine beauty. I hate it but I wear it.

I think it's always kinda been around. I have one, and I think a small one is a lot more socially accepted by most people than, say an eyebrow ring or something.
I wear mine to work and everywhere and never get any strange looks, but they are very popular where I live.
I had no specific reason for getting it, I just thought it would look cute. And someday, when I choose to take it out, that kind of piercing doesn't leave much of a scar.

It must be a trend with young people. My daughter pierced her nose herself when she was a teenager and I had a fit, but I learned to accept it. I told her at the time she could only wear studs and no other piercings until she was older. She's an adult now and has 3 piercings.

In India ,it is called nose studs , but in Europe it is called just piercing, In India it is called tradition, cause mother and other family members force , But in Europe it is called fashion, to attract opposite sex or what ever, here no body force but they copy the style .One more difference is that in Europe they pierce every where, including in private parts. Its a style, So may be these days they young girls think that its a trend ..so may be so it is quite popular. But it has been there since ages.

it is quite good thing as u r face looks complete with it and tat nowadays many actresses are puttin on an artificial one
and have u noticied sania mirza
she is more famous for nose stud than for her game it is trend tat is followed by people for bein different or for variety and when they r famous like sania mirza or aishwarya{in devdas} people try 2 copy them esp the teens
but wat ever it is boss
it is quite trendy and will always remain so
