Both terms are racial slurs and are beneath me. I just prefer to call people by their names.

Because calling a black person a ****** makes them angry, and I can't find a white person that gives a damn if he gets called a cracker all day long or not. So for peaceful existence, call me a cracker all you want, and I'll try not to call you a niggger. I can live with that I suppose. There's a lot worse that goes on. My crackerass couldn't care less.

What does Cracker mean by the way?....I haven't heard a black person call anyone by that name.
Niggger on the other hand is used as a slang, to me it means a low class black....
Uneducated whites in the old days didn't know how to pronounce the word Niger (a region in Africa) and when they refered to blacks they were referring to the region but now its used as a negative slang
Answer to your question is because they can and nothing will be said for fear of being racist.
I don't use the term Niggger and never have!

Actually, I don't think that either term should be used. They, to me, are racist names. Like the person before me, I don't even know what the name "cracker" means. Are they comparing white people to saltine crackers or what? LOL. Let's just get along.

I don't know any black people personally who have actually used the term "cracker." It's outdated. Now, if if makes you feel any better, I was talking to an italian guy who told me how he had mostly black friends and how he says ni.gga but not *******. So, see. He actually said the word and I didn't get mad at all.
