We've all been led to believe a lot of things that have turned out to be untrue, half truths or totally absurd. I don't know why any of us thinks we aren't being lied to by Democrats/Republicans/Indepedents/......I don't believe anyone anymore. I think this whole 'liberal vs. conservative' crap is just another way for politicians to manipulate us. If we all came face to face we probably wouldn't want much for our families and selves that's all that different.

Just to clear things up, I question everything put in front of me including all of the cyber screaming and pointing of fingers. I realize there are real people behind these keyboards.

Yes, division is the most powerful tool they use against us, they exploit prejudices within us and try to nurture them. However, if we all focus on unity, regardless of the small differences, then none of us can be singled out and bullied like the jews were in Hitlers day.
We are all minorities in some way, and as our countries are nothing but minorities- this means that if a minority is discriminated against then that puts us all at risk of that 'T'-word... You got it! Tyranny! Don't let it happen to others and wait until it happens to you.. By then it will be FAR too late.
The media keeps people dumb, distracted, and ignorant of the truth.

No, I don't believe we are brainwashed. But I think too many Americans are more concerned with Tom and Katie and American Idol than they are with the liars in D.C.
And, unfortunately it's human nature to want more ESP. if we can get someone else to pay for it, which is a politician's stock in trade.

I am not brain washed, I don't believe or trust any politician. People if you want the truth, use the freedom of information act to obtain the real facts to your questions.

Correcto.
It is really the special interest groups that run the country.
The elected ones are just the talking head for biggest campaign contributors.
The best politicians would not lower themselves to be bought.

Revolution would be a good idea. How can we have one that does not create a civil war? I agree with you and soon as we can find a way to overthrow the current established order without creating the suffering and devastation of war to do it, we should. I think Dr. King and Gandhi can show us the way. Peace be with you

You're so right. They are all corrupt and are simply using this as their advantage. Remember, the best way to keep the people down, is to keep them divided!

If people feel brainwashed, they should start a new 3rd party that is open to new ideas.
I agree that some voters, neocons, have been brainwashed.
