I tried cleaning it with a wet paper towel, but it has left a mark on the screen. Did it ruin the screen?

WAIT,STOP,NO... glass cleaner can remove the anti-glare coating. I've heard that liquid needs to be cleaned off quickly, believe it or not..... milk is acidic, it may have eaten through the coating on the lcd. What I do on mine is, I huff some hot breath on it then quickly but gently use a non-lotion tissue on it. It might take a buncha times, but this won't damage the monitor. I believe you can buy special cleaners for lcd's too, try best buy or office max.

No, it didnt ruin the screen. Paper towels may etch the screen and leave small scratches, but the screen isnt ruined. If it's a traditional matte screen, the surface of that screen is rather rough - unseen to the human eye.

The milk could have settled in these grooves and dried there. I would use http://www.pixelclean.com to help move the milk. They sell a kit with a cleaning solution, micro fiber cloth and other goodies.

Strange, try some glass cleaner or soapy water.

Gads! Stop!

Glad I didn't go with a monitor with a goofy coating!
