Are you pro-life or not
i think that there are some exceptions like if the mother is very ill and will not be able to make it through labor or if they have tested and know that the child will be extremly ill and not be able to live but i believe when it is someone who was just not careful or a young girl i understand that things happen and you could have took procautions but care the child give it a chance then put it up for adoption.

Sure if a woman is raped then they shoud not be forced to have the child the only time i really disagree with abortion is if the person was not being careful or just dont want a kid

if you were to take another person's life you would be charged with murder in the legal system. if you get an abortion, you are murdering an innocent child. a life is started at the moment of conception. even in the womb that baby is a living breathing human being. murder is murder. it doesn't matter if it is a full grown adult, a child, an infant, or an unborn baby. when you have an abortion you are just as guilty as you would be if you shot your best friend in the head. it is murder no matter how you look at it. i know that abortion is legal in most places here in the us. no matter. you are still guilty and you will be held accountable in the end. besides, everyone i have ever met that has had one has lived to regret it and would give their own life if they could do it over and do the right thing. no one deserves to be murdered, least of all an unborn child that did not ask to be conceived. if you are pregnant and for some reason can't take care of it, fine, give it away. too many people want a baby and can't have one. other wise, if you don't want to have a baby, keep your legs closed.

I think that the way you phrased the question was a little polarizing...I don't really believe that people should be automatically labeled as 'prolife' or 'prochoice'. I am more concerned about the specific circumstances that may yield abortion as an option for pregnancy termination. Since most people tend to bring up the issue of rape, the reality is that abortions based on this case make up less than 5% of all reasons for performing abortions. Removing this issue from the table, I believe that abortions should be available in cases whether the risk of carrying a child to term would cause greater harm to the life of the mother. However, I don't believe that it should be as a form of 'birth control'...if people can not afford birth control medication, this should be provided to them regardless of pay. Therefore, I am somewhat wary of how divisive this issue can become...let's all try to discuss it in a civil and constructive manner. thanks

I think that it is an intensely personal decision, and that decision rests solely with the parents - mother AND father. There are many reasons that parents choose not to have the baby, it is not the place of the government or with anyone who may disagree with them to tell them what to do. Don't forget, they have to live with the consequences of their decision. It doesn't end when they walk out of the doctor's office.

I personally do not condone abortion as a form of birth control, however, I STRONGLY believe that every family has the right to choose what is best for them.

Please remember that at the end of the day, being pro-choice doesn't necessarily make you pro-abortion. It means exactly that - you are pro-choice, meaning that you support the rights of families to have the freedom to make an informed choice.

I actually agree with you. Before I had children I really couldn't care less, but after becoming a mommy, I can honestly say that I think it's wrong in many cases. i knew a girl in my teens who had had 4 by the time she was 21, had a child and then had another after that. She was using it as a form of birth control and it sickened me. She kept one becuase she was too far along to abort it, can you imagine, lets just hope that poor kid never knows the only reason she exists is cause her mother was too late to have her aborted!!

I try not to it makes me sad. The ill thing is not 100%. There are people who have had little miracles go on and live regular lives. I know a woman who carried her baby to full term though they told her it was not going to make it. She said it was the best thing to do. She said those two weeks with that baby was the best time of her life. She treasured her once a day holdings and realized how precious life really is. No matter what could or is wrong with the baby it is a gift to cherish. Amen and Peace out......

I believe that it is up to the woman. However, I do not believe abortion is a form a birth control. Women do find themselves on occasion in the situation where they either can not raise or want to raise a child, so I do believe that it should be up to the woman what she does with HER body.

I really believe that it is any woman's choice and that i can't dispute but please everyone no matter what you decide I believe you are destroying a human life and i know that a lot of this is debatable but everyone in this world is here because you were a fetus that did not get aborted...so please choose life and if you don't want a child then please give him or her a chance at life and put them up for adoption.

Abortion = MURDER (unless rape or the health issue).

And when I say murder, it will be me being charged with murder if I found out my g/f or wife had one and I didn't find out until after wards.

If its a woman's choice and the man has no say in it then the man shouldn't have to pay child support if he doesn't want the child, right? Its only fair.

I am against it! However, I also believe that woman should have control of her body. While I could never condone abortion myself, Roe vrs Wade IS the LAW of the land!

i agree w/ you. i think people should have the option if it is life threatening to the mother, if the child has a serious problem and they don't think it will make it...

tho i am not going to make a decision for someone else, that is just me and my views of it. if a person decides to do that, they have to live with it for the rest of their lives.
