Make sure your keyboard has a wrist support pad. If you normally use a right-handed mouse, get a left one.

Because computer use isn't something you can just stop alltogether you need to alleviate what you can. Limit carpal tunnel causing activities if you can.

I got it pretty bad in my right wrist and learned to use a mouse with my left hand in about a week. It's nice now to be able to shift back and forth.

I think that 19 is a bit too young to get all that is inclusive in 'Carpal Tunnel Syndrome'. However, you may be experiencing some pain because your wrists are not in the proper position when you type.

You know when you go to the movie theater and sit all the way in the front row - it leaves a crink in your neck. If you don't type in the correct position, you'll have a crink in your wrists.

No, 19 is not too young. See a doctor and they can determine if you are just typing incorrectly or if you actually have Carpal Tunnel.

No, it's not to young. I'm 17 and I have carpal tunnel. To much typing and video games was my downfall.

Yes it is quite young but if you do highly repetitive activities involving your wrist it could happen

No, age has nothing to do with it..
It's an entrapment of the medium nerve in the wrist.
