There is NO specific figure for belly dancers so I'm not sure what type of figure you are talking about.
One of the most beautiful things about Raks Sharqi is that it can be done by women of all shapes and sizes and still look beautiful. You do not need to have a flat or big stomach, or have ample curves, or be stick thin.
Most dancers I know (including myself) practice the dance for at least forty-five minutes a day and also do yoga for about the same duration every day. Though many other dancers supplement there dancing with activities like running and strength training. This is of course, just the people in the little circle of dancers I collaberate with. There is no "bellydancer workout" and there is no "bellydancer figure".
If you are totally new to bellydance and want more information try exploring the sight below as it gives a lot of information about all the myths and stereotypes surrounding middle eastern dancers.
Also if you go to tribe.net there are a lot of belly dance oriented groups and many dancers who would be willing to answer any questions you might have.

what figure are you talking about? Bellydance is called bellydance for a reason. You need the belly to dance. Bellydance needs the woman to have a belly so that when she does certain moves they'll be very noticeable through the movement of her belly. As far as to what you are talking about, many moves work on abs and pelvic and many other muscles in the body. What it is is really nonstop drilling of moves and that's how eventually the belly comes to be toned BUT bellydance embraces women of all body types and there are bellydancers with flat stomachs but there are many more bellydancers that do not have flat stomachs since like I said the belly is very important when bellydancing.

Belly dancers had been not ever intended to be thin, above all by way of brand new necessities. I love the feminine style, which I think is meant to have a a few additional stomach. Of path there are alot of brainwashed folks in the market which have been satisfied by way of Hollywood and style magazines that the anorexic appear is stunning, I think "truly folks" (above all guys) recognize truly ladies. I'd stop disturbing and maintain doing all of your factor woman.

For your stomach, good old fashioned crunches. At the beginning my tum was so weak i needed someone to hold my legs down, even with all the bellydancing!
The best all over workout is swimming, it tones everything and gets you really fit so you can dance all night... if you don't like swimming, jogging is good too.
Some bellydancers use weighted hip belts while they dance. It improves your technique and tightens the usual muscles you use while dancing. You can buy one or make your own.
Practise your shimmys whenever you can, while brushing your teeth, showering, waiting for things in the microwave etc. This will become second nature and it will tone your butt and legs.
Mayas, vertical fig 8s, rib circles are all good for definition in the sides of your waist. For me this makes the most difference for the least effort.
