It is all about the election of 08. I will laugh when we end up with a Republican as President again. That is what they get for using the war as a political tool. Down right lying to get elected last election.

I care about our service men and women but I NEVER supported this 'war'. Actually, it was a preemptive strike and not a 'war' technically. We went over to Iraq under false pretenses and now the Iraqi people and our service people are paying the price. We never went over because of Hussein's big threat. He was never a threat to us. Why hasn't anyone gone after any other dictator in the world if freeing the Iraqis from oppression was so important after the WMD lie didn't work out. We made a mistake. I don't understand why it's so hard to admit that. We should be more worried about China. Now, we've got our military personnel wrapped up in what is basically a civil war and I don't think that is fair to them or a good use of them as honorable service people. I've met many (many are friends) who are so despondent they don't know what to think anymore. We shouldn't be there. Period.

Actually, the RIGHT are sick of the war too, as are the independents. People in favour of extending the war are in a tiny minority. The only people in favour of theis war are the small but very loud and ignorant pro Zionist neo-cons (from the left as well as the right) I don't see the democrats, in congress, actually doing jack sh1t to end the war right now. but that is exactly what a sizeable majority of the population, left, right and independent all desperately want to see happen.
The trouble is your politicians are far too busy putting little, parasitic Israel first and NOT the real and pressing needs of the USA. They are traitors.

Part of the problem is that the Left doesn't understand the Asian mindset. Those people don't set artificial deadlines for themselves; they just keep going until the job is done. It is only we Westerners who have this weird time obsession.
