Most of the Democratic candidates ran on the anti-war platform.
Now they can't even pass a resolution to bring our troops home.
It's been almost 4 months and they have spent 10x as much time on the U.S. Attorney issue as they have on the war.
Yahoo is reporting that they can't even agree on what kind of resolution to pass.
As important as they made the war issue sound during elections you would have thought it would have been the number one priority maybe even warranting an emergency session of congress to make something happen.
Why aren't the people who elected them holding them responsible ? Doesn't it make you mad or is it that you really didn't care about the war to start with ?

Some people are electing to use this to attack Bush, is this because of how much you hate him, or because you can't defend the actions of your own party?

They are too busy staging a witch-hunt to appease the American people and to cover up the fact that they made a lot of empty promises to win elections.

The democrats have been speaking approximately Saddam's progression of WMD in the process the 90s. many circumstances score participants of Clinton's cabinet and participants of congress spoke out on the subject of the prospect Iraq posed to the peace and protection of the area. Bush had get right of entry to to a similar intel that Clinton and his people did. It in basic terms grew to alter right into a "lie" while Bush needed to guard it.

I knew the Democrats were not serious about doing anything that they promised when the first thing that they did was start taking time off to watch sporting events and the like. One of their promises was that they were going to work 5-day weeks and they've yet to put in one of them. The problem is that they lie when the truth is easier.

I have always felt that in this time of war, the Democrats have (to the point of treason) done more to hurt the war effort then to help our country.
This will go down in History as a black mark for all the Democrats - I am ashamed of them.

Democrats have actually been working steadily to bring the war to an end. The problem is, their majorities are razor-thin, so any bill they propose has to have basically unanimous support. Do we withdraw immediately? Set a fixed timetable? Give Iraqis goals they have to reach first? Since opinions differ, it's hard to push a single, decisive bill through.

democrats just don't get it . they seem to always be choosing the tiny battles and never really want to be accountable for the political whiplash of the bigger ones - they are scared - scared of not getting into the white house in 08 - if they continue on like this dont be surprised to see a tight race in 08

The American people were not voting to end the war. They were voting to end nonstop spending and some fresh ideas. They got neither. I hope they will remember what they did get!

They were elected because of gwb's actions not their promises.
It was not the Democrat's promises that got them the small majority, they can't do much without the Republican's cooperation.
