my best friend who ive known for about 6 years started dating this girl about 2 years ago.. at first we were cool and soon he told me that she didnt want him to hang with me anymore.. we were like brothers.... and he cut me out just like that...

i do have other friends, just none i feel that close to knowing him that long..

At first I would resolve that she is a ***** and that your friend has no backbone if he's willing to cut out someone who's like a brother because she told him too.
Then I would ask her why she didn't want your friend to hang with you anymore, and ask your friend why he listened to her.
There's not much else you can do really.

What happened that could have caused her to make the decision to request he not hang any longer?
Maybe she is feeling her Wheaties and want to see how much control she has. Maybe she was jealous of your relationship and did not want to share.
Find out the problem and make an attempt to fix it.
But, since this friend "CHOOSE" to put your friendship to the way side rather than discuss the issues behind her decision to make such a request.... Well, I would have to think that maybe our friendship was not as tight as previously thought.

Tell him he needs to be a man and not pussy whipped. If she doesn't like it confront her about it and ask why? If she has nothing to say or denies saying it. It is your "best friend" that has the dilemma and is jealous of you being around. He is afraid that you might take her away from him.

try to talk to the gf and convince her that his friendship is important to you and that you dont waht nothing more from him..
