It's always possible, and some women have even conceived during their "period". Bleeding alone doesn't mean you are ovulating. Certain conditions can cause the uterine lining to build up to the point where the body can't do anything else but shed it; thus, you bleed.

By taking your basal body temperature everyday from the start of the first day of your period, you can use those temps to tell if you have ovulated. There are many websites that explain this well.

Now as to whether or not you can be pregnant and have your period: It's not common, but there are women that have. My sister's friend had hers for the first three months of her pregnancy. However, if you know you are and have bleeding, you should always see your ob/gyn, as this can signal a miscarriage.

As for feeling a bump the day after intercourse, that could be any number of things. How many days has it been since your period began and when did you have sex? How many days post period are you?

Hope things work out for you!

Its not impossible to get pregnant 3 days before your period but unless you have short cycles or your cycles are off & irregular highly unlikely.
Never experienced the bump hard feeling under the belly button the day after since it is way down below the pelvic bone at that time.
Did you miss that period?
Wait till you miss 2 & take a home pregnancy test.

I would say it all depends on when you ovulate. After ovulation, which comes at a different time for every woman, If your egg is fertilized then it takes about 7-10 days for that fertilized egg to implant. If you had sex 3 days before your period is due, then I would say no. Of course, I'm no expert. There are people who are though. One of their websites is www. babysnark.com. All the women there are great and think no question is silly or unimportant. Please check it out if you are TTC. They are loads of help. I've been visiting that site for about 6 months now and all of their advice and help has helped me to learn more about my body and the ways it changes. It's also helpful now that I'm pregnant to go and talk to all the pregnant women to see how all of our pregnancies are different and what's normal and what's not. Check it out. Sorry this is so long. I tend to ramble when it's a subject I like.

It probably can happen. But as for it actually happening it's not a very good chance. If you have a irregular cycle or a short period then you probably could. If your period was normal flow and lasted the normal amount of time you're probably fine.
