i hav a brand new ps2 how wud i connect my modem to access online gaming ?

i hav a bsnl broadband modem which connects via usb to my computer . the ps2 also has a usb port but if i connect the modem how will the ps2 identify it ? is there any other way to connect the modem to my ps2. i am avoiding ethernet because i dont have a lan wire to connect with ?

please help me out !!
ps2 is my life !!!

get a ethernet cabel and connect one end to a router or a modem then connect the other to the ps2 after that you will have to create an account
